Vaccines are something that really scare me. I think we should all be questioning them rather than accepting them as the norm.

vaccine

If you know me, you know that I am not a fan of the flu vaccine at all. It is not something that I will ever get for myself and my family. In addition to the research that shows its ineffectiveness, the lack of testing done on the vaccines, and its questionable side effects, I believe that there are many ways in which we can strengthen our immune system so that we naturally prevent the flu. Here are some: (more…)

We covered a TON of information on the call. Stacy took us through a lot of facts and figures (all of which can be found on the Center for Disease Control’s and the World Health Organization’s websites).
500pixelbannerVaccines are: weakened or dead pathogenic cells injected in order to stimulate the production of antibodies (Google)
Inoculation: is the placement of something to where it will grow or reproduce (Google)
Immunity: the condition in which an organism can resist disease (Google)
These three are very different. What people are receiving is vaccinations. Vaccine immunity is different than natural immunity.
Sickness is not always a bad thing. It helps build the immune system naturally. The medical model is often based on reducing symptoms. Fever, for example, is a good sign. Unless a fever is incredibly high (generally, over 104), parents should, in general, allow it to take its course.
The number of vaccines received by our children has skyrocketed in the last several years. For example, in 1950 5-year olds were only receiving 3 vaccines – by 2004, vaccinations were being given in infancy and kids were receiving 72 doses for 15 diseases. Today the numbers are even higher.
Stacy walked us through several of the diseases, their histories, and the effects of the vaccines. All of this information can be found in the links below. Here are some examples:
  • Smallpox: In the 1900s, 21,064 smallpox cases were reported with 894 deaths. That is 4.2%.
  • Polio: A viral infection of the gray matter of the spinal cord. In its natural state, it was never such a killer… even before the vaccines. More than 90% of people who contract polio have a simple virus (slight fever, malaise, headache, sore throat) symptoms develop 3-5 days after exposure and experience recovery within 24-72 hours and gain lifetime immunity. Less than 2% develop Paralytic Polio. Of that 2%, more than 50% have complete recovery. The greatest increase in Polio was after vaccination started in 1955. By 1956, cases of Polio had increased more than 600%
  • Hepatitis B: Hepatitis B is a DNA virus. Symptoms begin with fever and malaise and last 3-5 days. Treatment is symptomatic and recovery is usually within 4-8 weeks. Antibodies from the Hep B vaccine do not last forever. 60% of those vaccinated will lose all detectable antibodies within 12 years. So, by the time our kids are sexually active and may need protection from Hep B, there will be no protection from the vaccine they received at 12 hours old.Hep B is transmitted by contaminated blood or blood products so drug users and prostitutes are most at risk.
    Real Risks Hep B:
    • 50% develop no symptoms and have lifetime immunity
    • 30% develop flu like symptoms and have lifetime immunity
    • 20% develop symptoms that lead to the diagnosis of Hep B; of the 20%, 95% have full recovery and lifetime immunity, < 5% become chronic carriers, 75% live with asymptomatic symptoms, and 25% develop liver disease/cancer.

DVD: The Risks, The Benefits, The Choices By Dr. Tenpenny
It is one thing to see the dangers of vaccines, but the fear of these diseases are still there. We are taught to fear these terrible diseases, but are never given solid reason too. Dr. Tenpenny’s DVD goes through each disease and the real risk associated with them.

Please find Stacy on Facebook. Her posts are always insightful and it is a good way to connect with her. Stacy also mentioned Standard Process supplements on the call. I have, personally, used Standard Process before and know that the quality is superior. If you wish to speak to her about these supplements, please send her a Facebook message.

Remember, vaccinations are quite a controversial topic. The best thing a parent can do is educate themselves and make an informed decision they feel confident about. The more knowledge you have, the more confident you will be in your decisions.
